Upon completion of the entire program, graduates can sit for the NHA National CardioPhlebotomy Technician exam. Tuition, Expenses, and Financing... Expand

Important Information:

  1. This is a full Phlebotomy Program (not a course on "how to draw blood") and a full EKG Technician Program (not a course on "how to do an ECG") which allows graduates to sit for the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) Certified Cardio-Phlebotomist Examination. Successful completion of this exam awards the students separate national certification as both a Phlebotomist and an EKG Technician. The NHA National Exam is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCAA), a division of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE).
  2. We have been an NHA testing site since 2012 so you can take your national exam at our school. (see certificates below)
  3. We also have guaranteed phlebotomy clinical placement at one of our many affiliate labs in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts. The average time from end of course to clinical placement was 30 days in 2022. Since students complete the clinical requirements for EKG during the school session, there is no need for an outside clinical placement for the EKG portion. Students can apply for a job immediately as an EKG Tech, and can apply for phlebotomy / cardiophlebotomy positions upon completion of the phlebotomy clinical.

Program Costs

The 2023 tuition is $5590

  • If you are funded by an agency, the application fee does not apply to you

There is a $20 fee for liability insurance which covers students during the program. (If you are funded by an agency, the liability insurance fee is paid by the agency).

Students will need at least one uniform (approximate cost is $60-75 but students may choose to upgrade to a fancier one or get multiple ones).

Students will need the course textbook - average cost is $120 for the phlebotomy textbook and for the EKG textbook (but students may find a used book online for less). We provide the phlebotomy workbook as part of the tuition. Students may sell the books to the school at the end of the course.

Payment Plan Options

General Parameters

  1. The minimum downpayment for 2025 is $550
  2. The lowest monthly payment is $99 (depending on downpayment)
  3. The longest term is 24 months (2 years)
  4. At least half the tuition must be paid to graduate and get a certificate
  5. The lower your downpayment and/or monthly payment, the longer the term - however the term cannot exceed 24 months so either the downpayment or monthly payment has to be higher to meet the above requirements
  6. There is a finance fee on the amount you are financing so the larger the downpayment, the lower the finance fee
  7. There is interest on the unpaid balance so the sooner you pay off your loan, the less interest you will pay - just like any loan
  8. The more you put down and the quicker you pay, the less money you will spend in the long run
  9. Most popular, least expensive option is to pay in full before 1st class and receive a 10% discount off tuition

Example of payment plan using the minimum downpayment ($550): 24 monthly payments of $267.89
