Textbooks & Course Materials

Course Textbooks and Workbooks

As with any college program, books are not part of tuition.
Students should expect to acquire book(s) for their program.

Note: Most of our programs include access to an e-text version at no charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. If I have access to an electronic  textbook, do I need to purchase a hard copy version?
Essentially, no. Students are required to have access to the book(s) for the course they are taking and they are responsible for the material contained therein, however younger or more tech-savvy students may be perfectly happy with the e-text version provided. If a student desires a physical book, then the student must purchase the book separately.
  2. If I am funded by an agency, will I have to purchase a physical copy of a book if I want one?
No. If you are a student funded by an agency, books are included if your agency has paid for them.
  3. Why aren’t books included in tuition?
Just like at colleges and universities, some students prefer to purchase used textbooks, rent textbooks, or purchase/rent electronic versions. Rather than raise tuition and charge ALL students for a new textbook, we keep the tuition lower and leave it up to the student to decide what version of text to use for the course. This allows students to save money if they choose a less expensive option.
  4. What book(s) will I need for my course and where can I get them?
The book(s) needed depend on the course(s) you are taking. Books can be obtained by contacting the publisher (listed with each book) or through an online vendor (such as Amazon) using the ISBN number provided. Please see list below.
