911Programs offers specialized courses that are tailored to fit specific requirements that are essential to careers in the EMS and Allied Health industry:

Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians learn how to provide basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients. Must complete Basic EMT training to take this course.

Two-semester course combining the Advanced EMT course and the Rhode Island cardiac module. Must complete Basic EMT training to take this course.

Two-semester course combining the Certified Phlebotomy and the Certified EKG Tech programs.

Electrocardiograph Technicians learn how to perform diagnostic tests that aid doctors in identifying and treating cardiovascular problems in patients.

Medical Assistants learn how to record patient information and perform various clinical and administrative roles that are required in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.

Medical Coding and Billing students learn how to read patient charts to determine medical history and how to transcribe these charts so that they can be used by both health care providers and insurance companies.

Nursing Assistants learn how to provide basic care, such as activities of daily living like eating and bathing, for patients in hospitals and residents of long-term care facilities.

Phlebotomy Technicians learn how to draw blood and other specimens from patients in a variety of medical settings.

EMTs learn how to respond quickly to emergency situations regarding medical issues, traumatic injuries, and accident scenes.

Patient Care Technicians learn how to support nurses, doctors, and other medical staff in caring for patients with physical and mental health concerns.

Basic Emergency Medical Technician and Cardiac Refresher courses strengthen certified individuals knowledge on procedures and protocols, keeping them up to date with any new rules and regulations in place.

Home Health Aides learn how to monitor patients by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise, while also supporting patients by providing housekeeping services.

NREMT Skills helps students prepare for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians’ cognitive and psychomotor exam, two assessments that are required in order to qualify for an EMS national certification.

Health Care Provider Version

BLS students learn how perform CPR, a procedure that supports and maintains breathing and circulation for those who have stopped breathing or whose heart has stopped.

ACLS students learn how to perform clinical interventions for the urgent treatment of cardiac arrest, stroke, myocardial infraction, and other life-threatening cardiovascular emergencies. For current health care professionals only.

ACLS-EP students learn how to go above and beyond core ACLS training by offering critical thinking opportunities for those advanced, experienced, healthcare professionals who use ACLS on a regular basis.

PALS students learn how to adapt typical ACLS practices to infants and children, following a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. For current health care professionals only.
