Description
Out Enhanced EMT-Cardiac Program is a two-semester program that includes both EMT (formerly EMT-Basic) and EMT-Cardiac portions. Semesters do not have to run consecutively. For instance, a student may take the first semester then wait a semester or two as needed or desired before taking the second semester. The EMT portion is typically offered three times per year while the EMT-Cardiac portion is typically offered once or twice per year. Students must successfully complete the first semester and acquire a RI EMT license before entering the cardiac portion. Applicants with prior EMT training or even a current EMT license may opt to take both semesters as a way of refreshing basic EMT knowledge and skills before beginning the cardiac portion. For detailed information about both the EMT portion and the EMT-Cardiac portion, visit the appropriate pages on our website that describe those stand-alone courses, or click Here for EMT Information and Here for EMT-Cardiac Information.
